Hana Mason is an MFA student at the University of Victoria, where she also received her BFA. While at UVic, she served as Managing Editor and later Editor-in-Chief of This Side of West, and is a founding editor of Over/Exposed Lit. Amber Nuyens (she/her) is an MFA student who lives on unceded Lək̓ʷəŋən and WSÁNEĆ territory with her elderly lizard. Holly is a poet completing her MFA in Victoria, BC on unceded Songhees, Lewungen and W̱SÁNEĆ land. A Londoner at heart but a nomad in practice, Holly was awarded her undergraduate degree in English Literature from King’s College London and has also had the privilege of studying at UBC, Trinity College Dublin and Columbia University. Her work has been published in Wild Court, Icarus, and Spacebar Mag.

Emma de Blois (she/her) is a screenwriter, interactive storyteller, and graduate student at UVic. Born and raised in Northern BC in the unceded territory of the Lhtako Dené and Nazko First Nations, she graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in writing at the University of Victoria. She produced her first short film, Bunk Beds, shortly after. During her undergraduate degree, Emma worked on This Side of West as a drama editor and at Her Campus UVic as its editor-in-chief.

Evelyn Ryan

Evelyn Ryan is a computer scientist and writer living in the unceded territory of the LEKWUNGEN people. She has years of experience in website design and software engineering. She is currently completing her undergraduate degree in computer science and writing with a special focus on writing for video games and film. She creates art meant to simultaneously disturb and comfort. She lives with her girlfriend by the water and likes watching the sun set over the harbor.

Jamie Oosterhuis

jamie oosterhuis (she/her) explores narrative, the body, and how to further understand the self through making. She graduated from the Visual Arts Honours program in 2021 through the University of Victoria, where she focused on photography, video and textile works. jamie has shown work at the Victoria Arts Council, Audain Gallery, and The Vault. She received the British Columbia Arts Council award in 2019 and the Jamie Cassels Undergraduate Research Award in 2020/2021. jamie lives, works and creates on the traditional and unceded territories of the Lekwungen & WSÁNEĆ peoples (Victoria, BC).

Nora Trépanier is a first year at UVic majoring in creative writing, from the greater Vancouver area. She loves poetry, fiction, and occasionally writes some nonfiction. Her writing focuses on feminism, family connections and the bizarre. She hopes to become a full-time author but for now has to contend with writing in coffee shops in her free time. She enjoys thrifting, reading, watching and analyzing movies, and most of all petting stray cats.
